Match notes
After Briggs left Tozer and Madden added 180 for the second wicket but once they were parted it was left to the lower order to push the scoring along. For Queensland McLaughlin and Davenport added 113 for the third wicket but the innings then folded. Queensland followed on but there was not sufficient time for New South Wales to gain an outright victory.
