With the T20 Series beginning today between Pakistan and Australia, we are about to witness talent, aggression, power and presence of mind by two of the best teams in the cricketing world. This series would also help both teams to carry on the rhythm and fluency into the T20 World Cup later this month.

Although stepping into the first match with confidence after winning the ODI series, team Australia is up against the best and former World Champions who are always a threat for most of the teams in this format of the game. The performance and results will also foretell the capability of the new captain as to how well he does in this role after being given the responsibility to lead a side with a combination of talent, young blood and some experienced players. The addition of allrounder Shane Watson could mean a lot as David Warner has been under-performing lately especially against spin. The team has the exceptional depth to cope with the Men in Green pace attack but we will have to wait and watch the outcome against spin.

Pakistan on the other hand would be aiming to bounce back and try to live upto their fans' expectations as their best in this format has been proven good enough to lift the world title. Adding to the squad, Umar Gul, Abdul Razzaq and Imran Nazir, fans would be hoping that they can turn the tables by adding some fire and passion. A little more in consistency is required from the middle order batsmen and Shahid Afridi will be required to give his best as he was not at par in the ODIs. The team would also be relying on the spin wizard, Saeed Ajmal, for some eye-catching spin magic although support from other bowlers would be of much benefit to avenge the loss of ODI series.

Addition of new players in both squads should lift the spirits high.

Pakistan and Australia are ranked on 6th and 9th spot in the shortest format of game, and the series is the last chance for both sides to perk up their game ahead of World T20.

The pitch at Dubai is expected to play in the hands of pacers but dew factor may come into play as the match proceeds.
