DateLine: 9th October 2009 Media Release - 9 October 2009 The First Round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (First-Class Tournament) 2009-10 will start on Saturday October 10, 2009 at different centers of the country. 22 Teams divided in Two Groups, 9 Departments & 2 Regional Teams (Karachi Whites and Lahore Shalimar) is placed in Group A and 11 Regional Teams in Group B. Bottom 2 Departmental Teams from Group A will be relegated to Patrons Trophy Grade-II Tournament for the next season i.e. 2010-2011. QUAID-E-AZAM TROPHY WINNERS In the previous years Karachi Team has won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 18 times. PIA 6 times, National Bank 5 times, Lahore Team and United Bank 4 times, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Punjab, Railways and Sialkot 2 times, and ADBP, Faisalabad, Habib Bank and SNGPL have won the trophy once.
