The Board of Control for Cricket in India has dismissed reports about the likely unavailability of left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan for next month's ICC Twenty20 World Cup.

"No such decision has been taken (to leave out Zaheer). It's all speculation," sources in the board said.

Zaheer suffered an injury to his bowling shoulder during the Indian Premier League while playing for Sachin Tendulkar-led Mumbai Indians.

He suffered the injury while diving to stop a drive from Bangalore Royal Challengers batsman Robin Uthappa at the Wanderers on May 3. The injury came into a light after a scan was done which showed some inflammation.

The team management had then said that the injury was not serious. Even then the Indian pace spearhead did not play the remaining seven IPL matches.

Zaheer though did not return from South Africa. He stayed there till the Mumbai Indians campaign in the league ended.

The Indian squad, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is set to depart for England on May 29 to defend their title in the ICC World Twenty20, commencing on June 5.
