Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out of the whole of England's One-day series against the West Indies with an Achilles injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Wednesday. England play the first of three One-dayers against the West Indies at Headingley on Thursday.

However, the ECB insisted that by resting and undergoing treatment now, the South Africa born batsman would be fit for next month's World Twenty20 in England and the Ashes Test series against Australia, which starts in Cardiff on July 8.
England have not called up a replacement into their One-day squad, opening up the possibility that either former Ireland international Eoin Morgan could make his England One-Day International debut on Thursday or that Warwickshire's Ian Bell might be recalled.LATEST SCORES
