How to get to the SWALEC Stadium and where to stay

Ground:Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

BY ROAD The ground is situated a mile to the north-west of the City Centre off the A48 Cathedral Road (signposted Sophia Gardens). Approaching from the east travel on the M4 to junction 29, and then follow signs for the A48M to Port Talbot, and then the City Centre. From the west, travel to junction 33, join the A4160 and then follow the signs for the City Centre. From the north travel on the A470 until the Gabalfa Interchange, before following signs for the A48M to Port Talbot, and then the City Centre. There is no parking at the ground itself on match days, but there is generally ample space in the nearby public car parks.

BY BUS

 

National Express coaches and Stagecoach South Wales services terminate at the Central Bus Station alongside Cardiff Central Railway Station. You can either then walk for three-quarters of a mile along Westgate Street, cross Cardiff Bridge and then walk through Sophia Gardens, or catch one of the following Cardiff Bus Services which stop in Cathedral Road - 21, 25, 32, 33 or 62. BY TRAIN

 

Catch an Inter City Great Western, Alphaline, South Wales and West, or Cardiff Railway Company Service to Cardiff Central. There is a taxi rank outside the station, and the Central Bus Station is opposite the station forecourt. For times of train services to Cardiff Central, please ring 08457 484950.
