Since 1959 Glamorgan 2nd XI have taken part in the Second Eleven Championship. Matches initially were two-day affairs, before becoming three-day games - click here to see a full list of these Second Eleven Championship matches, which contain links to scorecards for many of these contests. In 1972 a series of one-day matches were introduced into the second eleven calendar involving county teams with players aged 25, with matches being staged with a 55 oves per side format for the Warwick Pool Under 25 Competition . In 1985 the county 2nd XI`s began playing a series of one-day games. This competition - now known as the Second Eleven Tophy - began life as a seies of 50 overs per side contests. Between 1986 and 1987 this was known as the Bain Dawes Trophy, between 1988 and 1992 it was called the Bain Clarkson Trophy, and then between 1993 and 1995 it was known as the Bain Hogg Trophy. Since 1996 it has been known as the Second Eleven Trophy.

Since 1935 the Glamorgan 2nd XI have also staged a number of one-day friendly matches - against other county teams, Minor County teams, touring sides, representative teams and club teams.
