Glamorgan pre-first-class 1889-1920

Glamorgan CCC was formed on July 6th, 1888. The club played its first match in 1889, against Warwickshire at the Arms Park ground in Cardiff, and for the next few years they played half a dozen or so friendlies each summer. In 1897 they were admitted to the Minor County Championship, and then in 1921 the club gained first-class status as Glamorgan entered the County Championship.
