In the Lincolnshire first innings, Thompson and Hibbert put on 114 runs for the first wicket. For the home team, Morris took 13 wickets in the match for 136 runs, including 7 for 70 in the Lincolnshire second innings. Stoner's 56 included 9 fours and Best's 56 7 fours. In the Durham first innings, Stoner and Morris added 53 runs for the ninth wicket.
