The wicket was slow and difficult at the start and, although it dried out, it remained hard to bat on.
In Norfolk's first innings Collinson and Falcon added 42 for the first wicket, after which all 10 fell for the addition of just 23 runs.
In their second innings the same pair added 54 for the first wicket before another collapse; however Thurgar, who made Norfolk's top-score of 40, and Watson added a crucial 50 runs for the ninth wicket in just 40 minutes.
Falcon had figures of 10 wickets for 69 runs in the match, including 5 for 25 in Staffordshire's first innings and 5 for 44 in their second.
Falconer took 9 wickets for 63 runs in the match, including 5 for 37 in Staffordshire's second innings.
For the losers Briggs was unable to bat in their first innings due to illness.
Deyes top-scored with 29 and also took 5 wickets for 21 runs in Norfolk's second innings.
