This match was left drawn with Hertfordshire winning on the first innings. Play was suspended at 4.15 pm on the second day, at which point Hertfordshire declared. However further rain curtailed the game. For the visitors there were 9 fours in Golding's 93 and 8 fours in Titchmarsh's unbeaten 84, the pair adding 164 for the third wicket in the second innings. Titchmarsh also top-scored in Hertfordshire's first innings with 49. Burton took 6 wickets for 23 runs in Buckinghamshire's first innings, during which he and Shelford bowled unchanged. For the hosts Frith top-scored with an unbeaten 44. Samms took 5 wickets for 17 runs on debut and Sewell took 5 wickets for 57 runs, both in Hertfordshire's first innings.
