This return match was won by Surrey 2nd XI by an innings and 102 runs on the second day. The match between the two sides at The Oval in June had been won by Surrey. In Surrey's innings Harrison scored 78 with 11 fours and there were 14 fours in Abel's 68, scored in only 30 minutes. This pair put on 139 for the second wicket.
