Surrey 2nd XI won this match by ten wickets on the second day. The match at Poole earlier in the month had also been won by Surrey. For Dorset Knight scored 64 with 8 fours in the second innings. For Surrey, Spring's 64 included 7 fours and 3 fives and Jewell's 22 included 5 fours and was scored in 10 minutes. This was the first use of this ground for a Championship match.
