Lincolnshire won this return match by four wickets shortly before 6.00 pm on the second day. In their second innings the home team required 137 runs to win. For the winners, Riley scored
64 and Day 53 not out. For the losers, King's 69 contained 1 five and 9 fours and Orr scored 60. The match between the two sides at Luton at the end of July had been drawn.
