Glamorgan won this return match by an innings and 51 runs at 3.15 pm on the second day. The match between the two sides at Newport in June had been won by Monmouthshire. For the winners, Creber took 11 wickets in the match for 102 runs, and Nash 8 for 109 runs. There were 8 fours in Hacker's 64. In the Glamorgan innings, Gibson and J Bancroft put on 70 runs for the eighth wicket. For the visitors, Rees's 68 not out contained 10 fours. On the first day rain delayed the start for an hour.
