Only four and a half hours of play was needed to complete the match on a soft pitch badly affected by heavy rainfall on the previous evening. For the winners, White and Coleman bowled unchanged through both Norfolk innings. White took 12 wickets in the match for 46 runs and Coleman 8 for 33.
