Yorkshire 2nd XI won by an innings and 163 runs just before 3.00 pm on the second day. Shortly after they had won, heavy rain fell and continued for the rest of the afternoon. For the winners, Hardisty's 193 included 2 sixes, 31 fours, 3 threes and 11 twos, an innings of 2 hours. It was the third highest score by a batsman during the season. There were 12 fours in Rudston's 73. In the Yorkshire innings Hardisty and Grimshaw put on 129 runs for the first wicket and Hardisty and Rudston 200 runs for the second wicket. For the losers, Gillespie top-scored with 34.
