Suffolk won by 9 wickets on the second day. For the winners, Penfold took 11 wickets in the match for 102 runs. There were 2 sixes and 4 fours in Ireland's 90, 6 fours in Mustard's 56 and 4 fours in Pritchett's 54. In the Suffolk first innings Pritchett and Ireland added 110 for the second wicket. For the losers, L J Reid scored 57. The 24 maidens bowled by Penfold were equal highest number for a match during the season. On the first day Lang kept wicket for Suffolk until lunch after which Pritchett took over the duties.
