Glamorgan won this semi-final match by 4 wickets at 11.55 am on the third day, thus gaining a place in the final of the competition. A partnership of 98 for the third wicket in the Glamorgan second innings between Bancroft and Morris was largely responsible for seeing Glamorgan home. For the winners, Nash took 11 wickets in the match for 99 runs, including 7 for 68 in the Surrey 2nd XI first innings. There were 3 fours and 1 six in Bancroft's 86 not out, and 5 fours in Brain's 53. For the losers, Goatly's 84 contained 14 fours and Baker's 60 6 fours. In the visitors' first innings they put 142 runs for the second wicket. A collection for Bancroft on the Friday after he had completed his 50 yielded £12-5s.
