For the home team, there were 14 fours in debutant Slater's 136, and 1 five and 9 fours in Vigar's 102, an innings of 105 minutes and Meads scored 71. In the Surrey 2nd XI innings, Meads and Vigar added 124 for the eighth wicket in 70 minutes. For Buckinghamshire, de Paravicini's 59 included 8 fours and Hobbs's 52 6 fours and Symes-Thompson scored 62. Rain late on the second day caused the match to be abandoned at 6.00 pm. The Surrey 2nd XI total of 490 was the third highest of the season.
