Norfolk won this return match by an innings at 12.05 pm, after an hour of play on the second day after enforcing the follow-on. The game between the two sides when they had met at Norwich a fortnight ago had also been won by Norfolk. For the winners, Raikes took 11 wickets in the match for 73 runs, including 7 wickets for 50 runs in the Cambridgeshire second innings. There were 8 fours in Wilson's 76, scored in 90 minutes. For the losers, Watts's 43 contained 7 fours.
