Hertfordshire won this match by an innings at 4.40 pm on the second day. Rain prevented play on Friday before 2.40 pm. For the winners, there were 15 fours in Dumbelton's 80 and 11 fours in Anderson's 72. In the Hertfordshire innings, Dumbleton and Anderson added 137 runs in 75 minutes for the third wicket. For the losers, Raikes's 56 contained 7 fours. In the Hertfordshire innings, Goodall, acting as substitute for Raikes who was off the field 'slightly indisposed', caught Anderson at extra cover.
