On the first day rain stopped play after Wiltshire had scored 114 for 4 wickets. The Wiltshire declaration left Buckinghamshire a victory target of 114 runs. Wright took 11 wickets in the match for the home team for 105 runs. De Paravicini's 45 not out in Buckinghamshire's second innings was scored in under 40 minutes, contained 1 six and 3 fours, and was the highest score of the match. Miller kept wicket in the first Buckinghamshire innings when Smart bowled. The game between the two teams at Trowbridge in July had also been drawn.
