This game was drawn after Buckinghamshire was set a victory target of 149 runs in an hour. For the home team, there were 14 fours in Croome's 80 not out and 12 fours in L P Collins's 58. For the visitors, Gresson's 91 was scored in 4 hours and ten minutes. Newspaper reports of the match suggest he gave at least 4 chances. In the visitors' first innings, Gresson and de Paravicini added 63 runs for the seventh wicket. In the Buckinghamshire first innings, when de Paravicini had scored his first run, he reached the career milestone of one thousand runs in championship matches. The 38 maidens bowled by Wright in the match were the third most during the season.
