Glamorgan won this return match by 140 runs on the second day. The home team were set a victory target of 205 runs and were dismissed cheaply for 64. Glamorgan completed the double over Cornwall, having won the game at Swansea when the two sides had met in July. The result ensured that Glamorgan were placed second in the Championship in their debut season. The start on the first day had been delayed 90 minutes until 1.00 pm by rain. For the winners, Lambert took 7 wickets for 26 runs in the Cornwall first innings. J H Brain top-scored in the match with 39. The Cornwall first innings total of 47 was the third lowest of the season.
