There was no play on the first day following heavy overnight rain and the start was delayed until 11.00am on day two owing to a damp outfield. On the second day bad light stopped play at 5.49pm until the close. On day three bad light stopped play at 5.18pm until the close, and bad light stopped play again from 2.06pm to 2.30pm on day four.
MH Yardy replaced MJ Prior as wicket-keeper for the last eleven overs of the Durham second innings - while Prior fielded in the outfield.
