Match notes
The match ended in a desperate struggle for first innings points. At the end of the first day it seemed A.C.T. held a slight advantage, due mainly to their middle order batsmen. Regent gave a fine display while Renshaw shared in two half century partnerships. Simon Fuchs returned his first five wicket haul in the Championships. On the second day Hodges and Mosey stabilised the South Australian batting but when the ninth wicket fell the areas was thirteen runs. Savage stayed with Fuchs and the lead was taken with just two balls remaining.
