Other Sports:Soccer for Southampton, Arsenal and England (5 Caps). Scored all seven goals in Arsenal's 7-1 win at Aston Villa in December 1935. Scored the only goal of the game in the 1936 FA Cup Final for Arsenal against Sheffield United. Managed Chelsea to the Division One Championship of 1954-55. Manager of Reading and Chelsea; assistant manager of Barcelona (1970), For Fulham: on coaching staff (1965), reserves manager (1972), chief scout (1975), director (1979) and life vice president.
