| Biography: | Adopted his father's middle name and called himself Eric Loudon-Shand. During WW1 he rose to the rank of Major in the King's Royal Rifle Corops, and was awarded the Territorial Decoration. One arm was severely injured during the war, and although Shand was to play rugby with that injury the arm eventually had to be amputated. |
