Irfan Pathan once said that not many have seen his brother, who hits sixes even longer than he does. How true was he, since from the moment Yusuf Pathan made his foray in international cricket, he has been hitting huge sixes no matter how good the bowler at the bowling end is. He was first seen in the finals of the T20 World Cup in South Africa where he sent back a Mohammad Asif full pitcher into the stands in the very first over. His stay was short on the pitch as a batsman but then he came on to bowl and did well with leather in his hands. But the defining moment for the Baroda dynamite came in the IPL first edition where he was instrumental in Rajasthan Royals success in the tournament. He scored 435 runs with four fifties at a strike-rate of 179 in the tournament and was also pretty good with the ball and as a fielder. In the second season too, Yusuf has looked very good and in all the three matches that his side has won, the burly Pathan has been declared the man-of-the-match. Yusuf though like all other Indian batsman could do nothing special with the willow in England. Either the ask when he came in to bat was a tall order or he failed to get the bouncers out of the park. Yusuf though was pretty handy with the ball whenever he was given a chance and he would be looking forward to the West Indies tour to again prove his mettle in the shorter format of the game.
