Whereas Mr. Mohammad Asif Hassan, a Pakistani Test Cricketer was caught at Dubai Airport on 01-06-2008 in possession of Hashish weighing .24 grams and 
Whereas the Dubai Police and Public Prosecution Department arrested Mr. Mohammad Asif and detained him within the precincts of the Dubai Airport as an accused and 
Whereas the Laboratory report confirmed that the substance carried by Mr. Mohammad Asif was Hashish/opium and 
Whereas the former management of the Pakistan Cricket Board ordered an inquiry into the matter and 
Whereas the former Chief Operating Officer of the PCB Mr. Shafqat Hussain Naghmi stole (for reasons rooted in the ulterior) the file containing the order of inquiry as also the documents received from Dubai at the time the present management took over and 
Whereas Mr. Mohammad Asif was order to be suspended from all international / domestic cricket forthwith and his monthly payment under the then existing contract discontinued and 
Whereas now upon hectic efforts undertaken by the PCB a copy of the proceedings initiated against Mr. Mohammad Asif by the Dubai Police and Public Prosecution Department has been secured and 
Whereas it is not possible to keep Mr. Mohammad Asif suspended indefinitely 
Now, therefore, the Chairman, PCB constitutes an Inquiry Committee consisting of Mr. Wasim Bari, Dr. Sohail Saleem and Mr. Asif Sohail to probe and enquire into the "Dubai Detention Incident" of Mr. Mohammad Asif.
