Bangladesh on the verge of setting Kiwis a stiff target
by CricketArchive Staff Reporter

Scorecard:Bangladesh v New Zealand
Player:DL Vettori
Event:New Zealand in Bangladesh 2008/09

DateLine: 19th October 2008

Vettori playing a lone hand
Kiwis need to thank their skipper Daniel Vettori who followed up his brilliant effort with the bat, with the ball as well. After conceding a lead of 74 in the first innings kiwis fought back leaving Bangladesh at 184 for 8.Bangladesh would want to stretch their lead to as much as possible as they already have a lead of 258 at the end of the third day.
With the wicket taking spin and Vettori already getting four wickets in the second innings,Bangladesh left arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan would be fancing his chances on the fourth day with lead anything close to 300 run mark. It would be extremely interesting to find out if Bangladesh can force their first test win against top quality International side on the fourth day itself.Inzamam-ul-haq thwarted their efforts with that brilliant innings in Pakistan where Pakistan won that test match by one wicket.
