The BCCI is monitoring the progress of the injury-hit Yuvraj Singh and a decision on including him in the Indian team would be taken based on his fitness, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said on Saturday.

"We are monitoring his progress. He has gone to Kolkata to play (Twenty-20 tournament). If he is fully fit, we will see...," he told reporters during the briefing on the deliberations of the BCCI Technical Committee meeting in Chennai. There were more matches against the Sri Lankan team next month. "By the time Sri Lanka comes, we want to settle down with our World Cup team," he added.
Singh, who will miss the first two ODIs against the touring West Indies, had injured his knee on the eve of India's Champions Trophy match against Australia at Mohali in October.
Shah said BCCI would get a report on Munaf Patel's condition from its physician Anant Joshi in 10 days. Patel, who injured his ankle in the ODI series in South Africa, has been advised two weeks rest. He missed the first two Tests in South Africa and played a marginal role in the final Test.LATEST SCORES
