Indias middle order batsman Suresh Raina had a nightmarish outing in a practice match in Chennai ahead of the teams departure to Malaysia for a tri-nation tournament.

The Uttar Pradesh left-hander got hit when he deflected an Ajit Agarkar full-toss on to his cheek. There was profuse bleeding. Raina was appearing for India juniors in the practice match at Chepauk. The injury required two stitches and doctors at the ground did the needful. Raina did not take the field with his teammates in the second half of the match but is likely to play the second warm-up game on Saturday.
The tri-series to be held in Kuala Lumpur from September 12 has India, World Cup champions Australia and Champions Trophy winners West Indies.LATEST SCORES
