DateLine: 13th June 2009

Leg-spinner Priyanka Roy returned sensational figures of 5/16 off 3.5 overs, and opening bowler Rumeli Dhar decimated the top-order as India beat Pakistan by five wickets to notch up their first win in Taunton.

Batting first, Pakistan were first pegged back by Dhar as she sent back Bismah Maroof, Nain Abidi and Sajida Shah and Pakistan could never recover.

Then, 21-year-old Roy took over and cleaned out the middle-order and tail, ensuring that Pakistan got only 75 runs in 19.5 overs.

In reply, India made a bit of a heavy weather of the easy target, but a patient knock of 37 not out by Anjum Chopra carried them across the line.

India now have one win from two matches, giving them two points, while Pakistan have lost both matches.
