Colne sign Nagamootoo

Colne have signed West Indian all rounder Mahendra Nagamootoo as professional for the 2005 season. The West Indian left handed middle order batsman and leg break and bowler has played in five Test matches to date and toured England in 2000 with his country, making his Test debut at the Oval where he took the wickets of Marcus Trescothick, Nasser Hussain and Alec Stewart at a cost of 92 runs.
Nagamootoo has also played in 24 One Day Internationals, taking 18 wickets with a best of 4-32.
The West Indian has played twice in the Lancashire League this season, scoring 63 and taking 6-44 for Ramsbottom against Todmorden in May and in August he appeared for his new club hitting 33 and taking 5-66 against Nelson.
